How are stainless tanks and reservoirs produced? A Stainless Reservoir Video
Stainless steel tanks are liquid storage containers generally used in industrial and commercial applications. These tanks are produced using stainless steel material and are designed for the storage or transportation of liquids.
Production Processes:
1. Material Selection: The selection of material to be used in the production of stainless steel sheet tanks is very important. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion and has the property of not reacting with the liquids inside. Therefore, stainless steel is a preferred material in various industrial applications. Material selection is made depending on the environment where the tank will be used and the liquid to be stored.
2. Stainless Tank Design: The design of the stainless tank is determined according to the type of liquid to be stored, its volume, storage conditions, and purpose of use. The tank’s dimensions, shape, inlet and outlet points, drain valves, and other details are determined during the design phase.
3. Cutting and Forming in Stainless Reservoirs: Stainless steel sheets are cut to the desired dimensions and shaped using special cutting machines and presses. The main body of the tank is formed by assembling these sheets.
4. Welding: The cut and shaped parts are subjected to welding. The welding process ensures the integrity and durability of the tank.
5. Internal Coating (Optional): In some cases, an internal coating layer is added. This is done to protect the inner surface of the tank and make its contact with the liquid safe.
6. Tests: The tank’s leak-proofing, pressure resistance, and other quality control tests are performed. These tests ensure that the tank is safe and functional.
7. Finishing Processes: The surface of the tank is usually polished or stainless steel cleaning processes are applied to provide shine on stainless steel surfaces.
8. Accessories and Additional Parts: Depending on the tank’s purpose of use, drain valves, sensors, connections, and other accessories are added.
9. Transportation and Assembly of Stainless Tanks: The manufactured stainless tanks are transported to their place of use and assembled. This stage ensures that the tank is ready for use.
The production process of stainless steel tanks can vary according to storage and transportation requirements and can be customized for special applications.
Stainless tanks, used as liquid and water storage tanks, have a wide range of use in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, energy, and many other industrial sectors.
